		Poseidon Hippios was born the 8th of April 1987. He is 146cm high and received the following score at the Stallion Selection in 1992: Type and bodycurves: 8 Head and neck: 7 Shoulder and withers: 8 Hind Part and back: 7 Forelegs: 8 Hindlegs: 8 Walk: 8 Trot: 9 General impression: 8 The judges gave Poseidon the following decription: Big and prominent stallion of good type. Beautiful head, well combined with a somewhat heavy neck. Excellent shoulder. Good hind part and back. Good walk, excellent and regular trot. Poseidon was awarded Stallion of the Year 1992 in New Forest and in the Danish Sportspony association in 1993 He became an elitestallion in 2003

Skarti - Son of Poseidon Norweigan Champion in Dressage 2004		Results of the offsprings Poseidon got 88 foal registred. Of those foal are 38 mares and 50 stallions. 59 of them are pure breed New Forest. 22 mares and 37 stallions. Of them are 5 dead before they were old enough to be ridden. 3 died because of accident after they were 3 years old and some we don´t know where are now. The mothers of the offsprings where: 24 - 1.class, 7 with silvermedal, 6 with bronzemedal. 25 - 2.class A. 7 - 2.class B and 2 were not shown at the mare selection. Only one of Poseidons offsprings is selectet in a class lower than the mother of the offspring and that was because she was lame on one leg after an accident. 59 % of Poseidons offsprings wich has been shown at the selections are in 1.class. Two of the offsprings are in Norway, two in Sweden, one in Holland and one in Germany. Right now Poseidons offsprings has done very well in competition. 1 is A-pony in Tree days Event, Tree are A-ponies in showjumping, Tree B-ponies in showjumping, Two are A-ponies in dressage and tree are B-ponies in dressage One became Norweigan Champion in dressage in 2004 Beside the offsprings who has already been written about, 11 offsprings are compeeding in level 3 or more in either dressage, showjumping or eventing. Those ponies are very close to become B-ponies in the diciplin they compete in. Almost 40% of Poseidons New Forest offsprings compete in level 3 or more - that is something wich none Danish New Forest stallion has done before. 		Decription of Poseidon offspring at the Danish Festival 2000 An impressive collection of ponies. All with a lot of good pony character. Beautiful heads. Some with somewhat heavy necks. Very good legs. All with excellent walk and excellent trot. A very uniform collection of New Forest ponies.   About Poseidon Poseidon was an extraordinary pony with a fabulous temper. He was easy to ride and he loved to perform in the different kinds of shows. He loved children, music and to show of when people looked at him. One of the best jugdes in Denmark once wrote: "When Poseidon trots through the arena, no other New Forest pony in Denmark can follow him".
