At the Championships for 4-6 years old New Forest ponies Soldals Pacific Ocean (sire Sirius Hippios) won the dressage for the 4 years old. He also got the highest score of the day (78,4%) and some very fine words from the judges. Another approved stallion Lundemarksgårds Layout (sire Bakkegårds Pinpoint) became third (73%). A Million (sire Mister Malthe) won the dressage for 5 years old (71%).

The same day Sirius Hippios parcipitated in a training held by the national team leader of the Danish pony dressage team. She was very fond of Sirius and told his rider that Sirius have capacity and movement to go all the way to the top in international pony dressage - we are of course very proud of him :o)

We have boutht a new properti. It is situated 20 km south from where we are living now. We have started to build the stable and are looking forward to move together with our ponies and cats in the end of October.

There is 5,6 ha of land, which is very hilly and the farm is only 300 meter from the forrest in a very quiet area. We have 50 appletrees with different kinds of apples.

Our new adress will be: Hemmestrupvej 8, 4683 Rønnede.

We have sold Minos to his rider Anne Sofie Laudrup and her family. They will use him for breeding New Forest and Sports Ponies as well as a riding pony for Anne Sofie. I is a great pleasure for us since we know how much they love Minos. The plan is that they will keep him for the rest of his life. We will still use him for breeding, since our off spring out of him are so fine.

At the East Danish Championship for New Forest ponies Minos and Anne Sofie got second in the Jumping Championship. At the same arrangement Asteria Hippios (sire Malthe) became second in the class for mares shown by hand. The class was won by another Malthe off spring "Soldals Annabell". The momement competition was also won by a Malthe off spring "Borrebjergs Magic Mentor" with 72%. Asteria Hippios also became second in one jumping class while her full sister Niobe Hippios won another. 4 other off springs of Malthe also did it very well some won and they all became amongs the top 3 in their classes dressage classes as well as jumping classes.

Asteria will still be used as a competition pony a while yet, before she again will be covered. At that time she will hopefully give us more wonderful off springs just as good as the one she has already been given us :o)

July - NF mare election
At the annual NF mare election Soldals Kimberley, the daughter of Sirius Hippios, was elected in 1.class and became best in her class. She was awarded with at bronze medal. Her foal was overall champion of all the foals. Soldals Kimberley is the full sister of the approved stallion Soldals Pacific Ocean.

Bryggergårdens Barcardi Atlantis, a young son of Mister Malthe, became second in the foal class and Miiyamoto Musashi a son of Offem Minos became 3rd.

First weekend in July Asteria competed in her first dressage competition. She got at score of 71,3% of maximum score. Minos competed in jumping with his new rider. It was her first jumping competition ever. They had 2 clear rounds and became second. Sirius competed for the first time in the highest level in dressage and even though the temperture was more than 30 degrees celcius he did it well.

At the annual "Roskilde animal fare" - the biggest animal fare in Nothern Europe - Sirius became resChampion in the movements competition for all breeds. He got a score of 9 in trot. Minos became Champion in exterior in the group of Danish Sportsponies. In NF exterior the son of Malthe "Gay Count Shetan" became Champion.

Asteria competed in two jumping competitions and she got 1st and 2nd in the classes with only clear rounds.

May
1st Saturday in May, the Danish socity for protection of Horses held their 100years of Annerversery at the Royal place Christianborg Castle. Two horses / ponies from each breed was shown at the show. Sirius and Borrebjergs Mermaid (1.st Class mare sire Mister Malthe, grandsire Poseidon Hippios) was elected to be the ponies from the NF breed. We had a wonderfuld day with the sun shining from the blue sky.

Sirius and his rider Emma were qualified to compete at the highest national level i dressage the first time they tried. They got a score of 65.5% in La6 which is the level in dressage that can qualifies to compete at national level. Only one weeks after he qualified, he competed in his first national comptition and got a score of 61.1% and some very fine words from the judges. We are very proud of Sirius and Emma.

22th of April Za Za Zee gave birth to our last foal this year. "Gaia Hippios" is a beautiful bay filly and we look very much forward to see if she is as good as her fullsister and brothers: Kalliope Hippios, Sirius Hippios and Orion Hippios

9th of April Minos was shown to a big stallion show together with more than 30 other Danish Varmblod and Danish Sportsponies. He jumped like a star and we was very proud of him.

Same night Natviol gave birth to a new boy "Triton Hippios" sire Sirius Hippios. He has the same colour as Poseidon (his grand grand sire) with grey mane and tail (will be black later in life), a stripe and socks on all four legs.

Pollux whom now is a couple of weeks, is the most playfull and funny foal we have ever had. He call at us when ever he sees us, run to us and wants to play. It is very good he now has another boy to play with :o)

28th of March is the day The Queen Mother of The Danish Queen Margrethe was born. This year it was also the day we got our first foal in 2009. Pollux Hippios was born just before midtnight - a beautiful bay boy with a star between his eyes. His dam, the French, Robin de L´Eguille behaves like she has had foals many times before - she has not, Pollux is her first. The sire of Pollux is Sirius Hippios.

Pollux is named after the greatest sportsman in the greek mytologi.

Offem Minos was show at the stallion election in Danish Sports pony the 21th of February. He did it very well and passed specially because of his great jumping capacity.

Riddersholm Salem sire Sirius Hippios whom we sold to Belgium some years ago and whom is already approved in Belgium was shown at the stallion election in Holland the same day. Salem has also competet with his 10 years old rider in several jumping competitions already and have ridden clear rounds every time.

Arion Hippios sire Mister Malte passed the second election at the Beligum Stallion election the same dag. What a wonderful day :o)

We are very proud of our boys and are looking forward to follow them in the future.

We hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Years eve. We are looking forward to 2009 and hope it will bring as much fun and excitment as we have had in 2008.

We are training our Beligan boy "Luminahof´s Diplomat" (sire Luciano, dam Polsbury Pimpernel, grandsire Valentino) for the upcomming stallion election the 28th of February. He is so easy to work with and we have great expertations for him.

Our two young French boys Skipper de Civry and Sultan de Civry (sire of both is Marnerhoeves Everest) has been gelded. Sultan is sold as a riding horse since he is now 150cm and still growing. Skipper will stay at the stud farm and will be broken in late this year.

We are expecting 3 foals this year. Two out of Sirius and one out of Malthe. They will be born in March and April and we are very much looking forward to see what they look like.
